As kids spend more and more time entertaining, socializing, and learning in a virtual world, at The Dance Depot, our mission is to keep kids physically moving and socializing with their peers. We understand starting a new activity or group can be nerve-racking, but we promise that our studio family is friendly and welcoming to everyone!  Our goal is to make sure everyone has fun, in the right level class, where each students feels challenged and rewarded for their hard work and practice.



If you think dance would be a great activity for your children, but introducing dance may be a challenge...we're here to help! Below is a quick synopsis on each of our dance classes and what your child can expect. We have FREE trial classes too, so everyone can come at least once to see how they like it!

PRE-SCHOOL GENERALS

Ages 3 - 6, students learn the basic dance fundamentals, terminology, and musicality. It's a low-pressure, fun class that enhances a preschooler's endless creativity and self-expression. Kids love the music and this is a great introduction into the world of dance.

BALLET

Ages 6 +, unlike other youth sports that focus on running and learning physical skills only, ballet also teaches coordination, posture, and balance. Not only can your child enjoy dancing with all their new friends, they love preparing for the upcoming recital. Kids love dresssing up and ballet allows us to use our imagination.

HIP HOP

Ages 6 +, hip hop has become increasingly more popular and requested. Class starts with a thorough warm up, then shifts to strengthening core muscles necessary for body control and technique. We introduce the latest funk and hip-hop moves, followed by choreography to develop the expressive abilities and story we're telling.

TAP

Ages 6+, tap get to attack the beat of a song head on. Dancers get to attack the song head on versus dancing around the flow of the music. Our tap students get to add new beats to songs while still playing with the original cadence. After the first tap class, kids love their new found awareness for rhythm and upbeat tempos.

MUSICAL THEATRE

Ages 9+, Musical Theatre can really improve a child's self esteem and help develop their sense of self and identity.

As some kids have difficulty coming out of their shell, our musical theatre class is a safe place to be expressive and creative. Kids explore different characters through improvisation and interpretive dance and over time this feeling of safety and confidence will reflect into their everyday life.

JAZZ

Ages 6+, Jazz is a technical form of dance that combines traditional Broadway style with the contemporary/pop styles of today. Each class consists of warm-ups, stretches, isolations, center work, turns and jumps. Our jazz lessons are a great way to build a technical foundation in a fast paced and lively atmosphere.
